Holders of a tourist visa can apply to extend their stay at immigration in Phuket: you go in person with form TM.7, passport copies, one photo and a 1,900 THB fee. TM30 is a different form that your landlord or hotel files within 24 hours of you moving in, and it adds no days to your stay. If an extension is closed to you, a group border run to Satun costs 3,800 THB per person.

**Extension fee ฿1,900 (THB), paid at immigration · border run to Satun ฿3,800 per person · help with papers quoted on request**

## Key facts

- 1,900 THB — fee for a tourist extension
- 24 hours — for the landlord to file TM30
- 2,000 THB — fine for a late 90-day report
- 3,800 THB — border run to Satun, per person

## In short: three ways to stay longer and their cost

Which one fits? That depends on your passport, the stamp you came in on and how many days you have left.

Doing it yourself costs the 1,900 THB government fee and one visit to the office. Help with the paperwork comes from Green Lane Travel, company registration 0835566017773, office at 128 Phrabaramee Road in Patong: a document check and a person who goes to immigration with you, priced on request once we have seen your stamp. The fee at the counter is still yours.

The border run is the third option, run by the same supplier. None of the three buys a result; the officer at immigration, or at the border, decides how many days you get.

Your message comes to Phuket DA, the team behind adadai.com. We answer, confirm the price and the date, and pass the booking to Green Lane. Send your citizenship, how you entered, the date on your stamp and whether you have already extended on this entry. The button opens the chat.

| Option | What you bring | Time | Cost |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Self-filing at immigration | TM.7, passport copies with visa and last entry stamp, 4 x 6 cm photo | One visit | ฿1,900 |
| With Green Lane's help | Same papers, checked with you | Preparation and one visit | ฿1,900 + quoted on request |
| Border run to Satun | Passport, plus what your nationality needs at both borders | Overnight, back next afternoon | ฿3,800 |

## Option 1: apply yourself at Phuket immigration

The Immigration Bureau lists four things for a tourist extension. You file form TM.7 in person, with a copy of your passport, visa and last entry stamp, one 4 x 6 cm photo taken within the last 6 months, and the 1,900 THB fee.

How many days? The page sets no general maximum. It does say that nationals of a listed group of 9 countries, among them India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nigeria, get no more than 7 days.

The criteria on that page are written for holders of a tourist visa, with no separate section for people who entered visa-exempt. Tell us the type and date of your entry stamp and we check with Green Lane before you queue. And go before your permission runs out, not on its last afternoon.

## Option 2: help from a supplier

Help here means someone who checks your papers, makes the copies, fills in TM.7 with you and comes along to the office. Nobody can file a tourist extension in your place, because the Immigration Bureau requires the foreigner to apply in person.

Green Lane Travel does this work for us. The price depends on your stamp and your situation, so we quote it in the chat before you commit to anything, and the 1,900 THB fee is still paid by you at the counter.

## Option 3: a border run to Satun

When an extension is closed to you, or already used, the other route is to leave Thailand and come back in.

Green Lane runs a standard group trip, up to 10 people, to the Satun border with Malaysia. The 3,800 THB price is 2,300 THB for the trip and 1,500 THB for the stamp, as the supplier splits it on its booking page. You leave around midnight by minivan, stop for a meal on the way, and are back in Phuket around 15:00. The same supplier runs a trip to Ranong on the Myanmar border for 5,000 THB, leaving at 05:00.

Changes and cancellations need at least 2 days' notice before departure. After that the full price is charged, unless a valid reason is covered by insurance with a doctor's certificate.

For passports other than Russian, the supplier advises bringing a return ticket from Thailand, a printed hotel booking or rental contract, and a bank statement showing at least 20,000 THB. What you get on re-entry is decided by the Thai officer at the border, and your recent entries count, so ask us first if you have done several runs already.

## TM30 and the 90-day report are not extensions

Neither form adds a day to your stay.

TM30 is the notification of a foreigner's residence. Section 38 of the Immigration Act puts it on the house owner, landlord, possessor of the premises or hotel manager, within 24 hours of you checking in. Renting a condo privately? Ask the owner whether it has been filed and keep a copy of the receipt.

The 90-day report is yours. If you stay in Thailand longer than 90 days in a row, you report your address to immigration every 90 days. Miss it, and you report in person and pay a 2,000 THB fine, according to the Immigration Bureau.

## Rules and their sources

Everything official on this page comes from the Immigration Bureau and the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh. Supplier terms are from greenlane-travel.com and its booking page on avitip.com.

| Rule | Official source |
| --- | --- |
| Tourist extension: TM.7 in person, passport copy, photo, 1,900 THB | Immigration Bureau, immigration.go.th, extension of stay |
| No more than 7 days for nationals of 9 listed countries | Immigration Bureau, same page |
| TM30: owner, landlord or hotel notifies within 24 hours | Immigration Bureau, notification of residence; Immigration Act, s.38 |
| 90-day report; 2,000 THB fine if late | Immigration Bureau, immigration.go.th |
| DTV: one extension per entry, up to 180 days | Royal Thai Embassy, Phnom Penh, DTV page |
| ED: extension up to 1 year, officer's discretion | Royal Thai Embassy, Phnom Penh, ED page |

## Payment and refunds

You pay in Thai baht: a bank transfer to a Thai account, an SBP transfer in roubles, or USDT on the TRC20 network. For USDT the network, the rate and the amount are agreed in the chat before you send anything.

Government fees are set and kept by the authorities, whatever the officer decides.

- You cancel a border run: free with at least 2 days' notice, full price after that (supplier's terms).
- You cancel help with an extension, or the supplier cancels: no terms are published, so ask before paying and we send them in writing.
- Immigration refuses the extension or the entry: the government fee is not returned; ask us what happens to the service price before you book.

## Questions people ask

### Do I need a TM30 to extend my tourist stay in Phuket?

TM30 is filed by the house owner, landlord or hotel within 24 hours of your arrival, under Section 38 of the Immigration Act. The extension checklist on immigration.go.th lists form TM.7, passport copies, a photo and the 1,900 THB fee, and it does not name TM30. Keep a copy of your landlord's receipt with your papers anyway.

### Can I extend a visa-exempt stay at Phuket Immigration?

The Immigration Bureau page we checked sets out extension criteria for holders of a tourist visa and has no separate section for visa-exempt entry. Tell us the date and type of your entry stamp, and we check with Green Lane before you go to the office.

### How many days can I extend my tourist stay in Phuket?

The official page gives no general maximum, and the immigration officer decides. It does say that nationals of a listed group of 9 countries get no more than 7 days.

### How much does a tourist extension cost in Phuket?

1,900 THB, paid at the immigration office. You also need form TM.7, a copy of your passport with visa and last entry stamp, and one 4 x 6 cm photo, and you must file in person.

### Is the 90-day report the same as an extension?

No. A foreigner who stays in Thailand longer than 90 days reports their address every 90 days, and it adds no days to the stay. Reporting late means appearing in person and a 2,000 THB fine, according to the Immigration Bureau.

### Can I extend a DTV stay in Phuket?

Yes, once per entry. The Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh lists one extension of up to 180 days per entry for DTV holders, at immigration. After 180 + 180 days you leave and re-enter on the same DTV while it is valid.
