# DTV through a Phuket cooking school: price, documents, timeline

Page URL: https://adadai.com/en/visa/dtv-cooking-school

Sky Thai Cooking is the Phuket school we book for this, and it issues the enrolment letter that DTV applicants file under the Thai cooking classes activity. Programmes run 6, 9 or 12 months at 16,900, 25,900 or 34,900 THB, one 2.5-hour class a week, with the papers ready 1-2 business days after you pay. Your visa still depends on the Thai embassy, and on you showing at least 500,000 THB of your own.

**฿16,900 for 6 months · ฿25,900 for 9 months · ฿34,900 for 12 months (THB, per person)**

School: Sky Corp Co., Ltd. (Sky Thai Cooking), reg. 0835564004313, 59/147-148 Moo 5, Sri Sunthon, Thalang, Phuket. Order desk: Phuket DA, adadai.com.

## Key facts

- 16,900 THB — 6-month programme, school's published price
- 2.5 hours — one hands-on class a week
- 500,000 THB — money you show the embassy
- 180 days — stay per DTV entry

## In short: price, who it suits, who teaches

Want the numbers first? Six months costs 16,900 THB, nine months 25,900 THB and twelve months 34,900 THB, per person. That is the current published price on the school's own DTV page, and we confirm it in the chat before you pay. It buys tuition and the school's paperwork. Nothing else.

Who is it for? Someone planning long stretches in Phuket who would actually enjoy a weekly kitchen session, and who has the savings the embassy wants to see. Planning to work for a Thai employer? Wrong visa.

Classes are run by Sky Corp Co., Ltd., trading as Sky Thai Cooking. Its DTV page lists registration 0835564004313 with the Department of Business Development and TAT licence 34/02895. There are two kitchens with street addresses: 59/147-148 Moo 5, Sri Sunthon, Thalang, and 98/51 Surin, Talat Yai, in Phuket Town. A third one, at the Phuket Sea Farm, is listed without an address.

Your order comes to Phuket DA, the team behind adadai.com. We check your details against the embassy's list, confirm the price and a start window with the school, and pass the enrolment on; the letter and the receipt come back to you as files in the same chat. Send your citizenship, the country where you will apply, your current stamp and the date it ends. The button opens the chat.

| Programme | Price | Classes | Papers for your visa file |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 6 months | ฿16,900 | Weekly, 2.5 hours | Letter of acceptance, schedule, invoice, receipt |
| 9 months | ฿25,900 | Weekly, 2.5 hours | Same set |
| 12 months | ฿34,900 | Weekly, 2.5 hours | Same set |

*Price per person, published on the school's DTV page (skythaicooking.com); confirmed in the chat before payment. A certificate of completion is issued at the end of the course.*

- Included: one hands-on class a week, 2.5 hours, morning or afternoon session.
- Included: letter of acceptance, course schedule, invoice and payment receipt, certificate at the end.
- Not included: the visa fee, which the school puts at about 340 USD and which you pay to the embassy.
- Not included: the 500,000 THB you show, flights, any border trip.

## What the school gives you and what the embassy asks for

Two piles of paper here, and they get mixed up a lot.

The school's pile is short. Letter of acceptance, detailed course schedule, invoice, payment receipt; the completion certificate comes at the end.

Yours is longer. The Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh asks for a passport and a photo, financial evidence of no less than 500,000 THB (bank statements, payslips or a sponsor) and proof you are enrolled in the activity, which is where the school's letter goes. Some embassies want more. Read yours.

How long does it take? The school's part: 1-2 business days once your payment lands. The embassy's part is slower and out of anyone else's hands; the supplier's booking page puts it at roughly 4-15 working days.

## How booking works, step by step

You pay after we have looked at your passport and plans. If the cooking route doesn't fit, we say so at step 2 and nothing is charged.

You can file alone with the school's letter. Want a second pair of eyes? The supplier sells a document check for 5,000 THB and help with the submission for another 5,000 THB.

- You send your citizenship, the country where you will apply, your current status and the date your stamp ends.
- We check them against the embassy's published DTV list and tell you whether the cooking route fits.
- We confirm the price, the programme length and a start window with the school.
- You pay in Thai baht; the school issues the letter and receipt within 1-2 business days.
- You apply to the embassy yourself, or with the supplier's paid document help.
- Once the visa is issued, you start the weekly classes in Phuket.

## DTV rules and where they are written

Where does each rule live? One line in the table, one official page. Embassies differ in the details and a few passports carry extra paperwork, so the page of your own embassy beats this one.

A common misread: five years of validity is not five years of living here. You get up to 180 days per entry. Immigration can add 180 more, once. Then out, and back in on the same visa while it is still valid.

| Requirement | Official source |
| --- | --- |
| Thai cooking classes are an eligible DTV activity | Royal Thai Embassy, Phnom Penh; Royal Thai Consulate-General, Los Angeles |
| Valid 5 years, multiple entries | Royal Thai Embassy, Phnom Penh |
| Stay of up to 180 days per entry | Royal Thai Embassy, Phnom Penh |
| One extension per entry, up to 180 days | Royal Thai Embassy, Phnom Penh |
| Financial evidence of at least 500,000 THB | Royal Thai Embassy, Phnom Penh |
| Proof of enrolment in the activity | Royal Thai Embassy, Phnom Penh |

## Payment, rescheduling and refunds

You pay in Thai baht, in one of three ways: a bank transfer to a Thai account, an SBP transfer in roubles, or USDT on the TRC20 network. For USDT we agree the network, the rate and the exact amount in the chat before you send anything.

Leaving Thailand for a few weeks? The school lets students on the 6 and 12-month programmes reschedule classes free of charge. Its FAQ does not name the 9-month programme, so we get that confirmed in writing before you pay.

Refunds depend on what went wrong, and the three cases below are handled differently.

- The embassy refuses your DTV before you arrive: the school's DTV page says the course fee is refundable, and processing fees may apply. The embassy keeps its own visa fee.
- You have already started the course in Thailand: the school says no refund is possible from that point.
- You change your mind before classes start, or the school cannot run your classes: neither the school nor the supplier publishes terms for this, so ask before paying and we send the terms in writing.

## Where these facts come from

Visa rules: the DTV pages of the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles. School details, meaning programmes, prices, documents, registration and licence numbers, addresses, refund wording and preparation time, come from the DTV page on skythaicooking.com.

The embassy review estimate and the document-help rates are from the supplier's booking page on avitip.com. Payment methods are the ones greenlane-travel.com lists. Rules change; if your embassy's page says something different, your embassy wins.

## Questions people ask

### Which cooking schools in Phuket provide documents for a DTV application?

Several Phuket schools sell long programmes for DTV applicants; the one we book is Sky Thai Cooking, run by Sky Corp Co., Ltd. It issues a letter of acceptance, a course schedule, an invoice and a receipt for a 6, 9 or 12-month programme. The visa decision stays with the Thai embassy or consulate.

### How much does a DTV cooking course in Phuket cost?

At Sky Thai Cooking the current published price is 16,900 THB for 6 months, 25,900 THB for 9 months and 34,900 THB for 12 months. That covers tuition and the school's documents. The visa fee, which the school puts at about 340 USD, is paid separately to the embassy.

### What documents do I need for a DTV through a Phuket cooking course?

The Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh lists a passport, a photograph, financial evidence of at least 500,000 THB and proof of enrolment in the activity. The school's letter of acceptance covers the enrolment part. Your own embassy may add items, so follow its page.

### Can I apply for a DTV while I am already in Phuket?

The immigration office in Phuket does not issue a DTV; Thai embassies and consulates do. The supplier's booking page notes that you apply through the embassy covering the region you apply from. Tell us your citizenship and where you are now, and we check which embassy fits before you pay.

### What happens to the course fee if my DTV is refused?

The school's DTV page says the course fee is refundable if the visa is refused before arrival, and processing fees may apply. Once you have started the course in Thailand, no refund is possible. The embassy's visa fee is not returned by the school.

### Can I reschedule classes if I leave Thailand for a while?

Yes on the 6 and 12-month programmes: the school lets those students reschedule free of charge. The 9-month programme is not named in its FAQ, so we confirm it in writing before you pay.
